At The Bangor YMCA Wilderness Center at Camp Jordan, we pride ourselves on providing a staff that live out the YMCA core values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility. Every staff person receives extensive training, preparing them to provide the best possible physical and emotional environment for your child. All counselors are First Aid and CPR certified, and we employ two live-in health professionals and have an MD on call for reference to ensure that every camper’s medical needs are met at all times. Our Adventure Seekers staff are also registered Maine Youth Trip Leaders and certified Wilderness First Responders.

Hi! My name is Jayci Fournier.
I began working at Camp Jordan in 2011 as a counselor and became the Assistant Camp Director and Youth/Teen Programming Coordinator in 2013. I graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2015 with a degree in Community Health Education.
I grew up as a “Y Kid”, having grown up at the YMCA, participating in countless Bangor Region YMCA programs as a child and teen. Because of this, I do my best to live the Y’s mission and embodied the values of our YMCA.
ASSISTANT CAMP DIRECTOR
Hi! My name is Sam Aldredge. This is my first summer here at Camp Jordan. I first attended a YMCA camp with my family when I was five years old. Family Camp, outdoor education and especially sleepaway camp are my favorite camp programs. I grew up in Ohio and studied Psychology at Bowling Green University. I recently attended Disney University and worked on a Disney Cruise ship. I most recently worked at a YMCA camp in Nashville, TN. I cannot be more excited to get going here at Camp Jordan.
